Seychelles, first country to reopen its doors to vaccinated tourists

We always seeking information for its customers.

Seychelles, where tourism accounts for 65% of gross domestic product, is the first country to make vaccination a condition of access to its territory for international visitors.

Will the attraction of white sand, turquoise water and palm trees push those in need of exoticism to get vaccinated? This is clearly what the Seychelles government hopes for, since “the country has just reopened its borders” to visitors from all over the world, reports the local newspaper Nation, on condition that they can “produce documents certifying that ‘they were vaccinated and had received the second dose at least two weeks previously ”.

While the debate rages in many countries around the possible creation of a Covid-19 passport, which would restore freedom of movement in particular to those vaccinated, the Indian Ocean archipelago is the first state to lay down these conditions for access to its territory.

While “visitors will also have to show negative results from a test carried out within 72 hours of their arrival,” the newspaper said, the vaccination will, however, exempt them from quarantine.
The explanation for this decision: there is an even greater shortage of tourists in Seychelles than the other way around. As the British Daily Telegraph reports, “the contribution of tourism to Seychelles’s gross domestic product is around 65%”.

Israelis will likely be the first vaccinated tourists to visit this paradise again. Indeed, the mass vaccination adapted by the small state of the Middle East, aims for 100% of the population aged 16 and over to be vaccinated by March 30. And this, in order to restart its economy, and also to allow Israelis to travel again around the world.
