You can climb to the top of the famous lion rock, the ascent begins between its two legs.<br \/>\nAt the top, you will find magnificent ruins but above all an incredible panoramic view of the surroundings.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.srilanka.travel\/attraction&amp;attraction_id=160\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u00a0https:\/\/www.srilanka.travel\/attraction&amp;attraction_id=160<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Anecdote: have you heard of the guardians of Sigiriya? When you visit this beautiful city, you will be able to see on the terrace of the west face, in height, brown spots stuck to the wall. These are swarms of giant hornets, which have been there for years. Sometimes the hornets attack visitors, hence the presence of a metal grid, to avoid any accident. The government tried\u00a0 many times to dislodge the insects in vain, since legend has it that they are the guardians of the city.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Polonnaruwa<\/h3>\n<p>This city has a precious treasure that it is wise to come and visit.
