Go for a short boat trip in the morning. We personally tested the excursion with our DMC, owned by its lovely owner Mahmoud! Put on a swimsuit, mask and snorkel (the wetsuit is not mandatory, it even makes you float so avoid), and off you go to try your hand at pearl oyster fishing! I absolutely loved the experience, although I was surprised how physical it is! When I think back then, the fishermen did this without a mask, without a snorkel and dived up to 15 meters deep! This is a UNIQUE experience<\/strong>, and with a little luck and a lot of effort, you will be able to bring up oysters filled with pearls, just to make your trip profitable …<\/span><\/p>\n Continue by going to the Port de Sitra<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n Once you’re all clean and sorted out for some pretty adventures, head to Sitra Port! At lunchtime, it’s time to enjoy freshly prepared fish. A priori, around 4 p.m., it’s the auction and the fishermen come back with some fresher fish than the others! We went there later and the boats were docked, but the view of all the boats, and the smile of the fishermen were worth it, once in Bahrain, go visit this port, it is only happiness.<\/span><\/p>\n Thoroughbred ride<\/strong><\/p>\n This is no surprise to anyone, thoroughbred Arabs are highly respected in Bahrain, as in the rest of the Arabian Gulf. We were able to test the ride at the end of the day thanks to the Ghazwan equestrian center, at sunset near the Bahrain fort and to the beach. I can’t say I’m the most comfortable person in the world on a horse, but I was fortunate enough to be looked after by Prince (yes yes, that was his first name), a adorable helper who led my horse from start to finish, phew! And the view of Bahrain Fort with the end of the day light is nothing but bliss.<\/span><\/p>\n Bahrain Fort<\/strong><\/p>\n When the sun starts to set, it\u2019s a good time to head to the famous Bahrain Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site! This fort and its remains bear witness to a much longer history than the Portuguese occupation in the 16th century, with excavations testifying to the occupation by the Dilmun civilization, the cradle of Bahrain, more than 4,500 years ago. ! Still, it’s super nice to walk inside, as well as around the enclosure in the evening, to join the many families and share with the Bahrainis who are so welcoming … An experience that we recommend, the Fort is a magical place.<\/span><\/p>\n La Fontaine Contemporary Art Center<\/strong><\/p>\n Nothing better to end the day on a high note than passing by \u201cLa Fontaine\u201d, a sumptuous fort converted into a contemporary art center and restaurant by the talented Ali Reza family. In the center of the courtyard sits a majestic fountain, whose sound of the water punctuates a meal based on recipes from local cuisine, which we believe is a pure marvel. I admit that to think of yourself as a star for a night, there is nothing better. The welcome is more than charming.
