Dubai the magic city<\/strong><\/p>\n

Since yesterday, we introduce you to the United Arab Emirates<\/strong>, a destination that has become a HIT for Israeli tourists since the signing of the Avraham Accords.<\/span><\/p>\n

At just a 3 hour flight from Tel Aviv<\/strong>, with at least 6 daily flights operated by at least 6 different companies, the price of flights hovering between $ 300 and $ 400, the Emirates have become the preferred destination for Israelis.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dubai and its sumptuous Marina<\/strong>: <\/span><\/p>\n

Dubai Marina<\/strong> is the modern district of Dubai. Some even call it the New Dubai. Huge buildings line this district where restaurants, shops, hotels, shopping centers abound … A city within a city. The charm of this district comes from its canals which surround the buildings and from this immense marina, the largest in the world, where boats are anchored, each more luxurious than the next. Treat yourself to a night stroll on the Marina Walk to admire all the lights that illuminate the buildings. Dubai Marina even has a public beach where it is pleasant to swim.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Jumeirah Mosque:<\/strong> <\/span><\/p>\n

In the heart of the Jumeirah district, the mosque is a very beautiful building highlighted by its bright white stones, its two minarets and its imposing dome. It is the only mosque accessible to non-Muslims, however it is impossible to enter freely. Guided tours are organized four days a week and take visitors to the prayer room. After a detailed explanation of the five pillars of Islam, how to pray, etc., a free question-and-answer session between guides and visitors follows. If you do not want to do the visit, come in this case instead in the evening, when the mosque is illuminated. It is all the more beautiful.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Palm Jumeirah:<\/strong> <\/span><\/p>\n

Here is a project which made the reputation of the eccentricity of Dubai. The Palm Jumeirah is an artificial island made up of 16 palms and a trunk. It is 11 km in diameter<\/strong> and accommodates around 10,000 inhabitants who live in sumptuous villas. Not to mention the thousands of visitors who flock to luxury hotels including the incredible Atlantis The Palm. It also contains several marinas and a shopping center<\/strong>. The island has infrastructure including roads, tunnels and a monorail that connects the bay and the Atlantis Hotel<\/strong>. So you can easily walk it up and down and admire the splendid villas.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dubai Museum:<\/strong> <\/span><\/p>\n

Housed in Al Fahidi Fort, Dubai’s oldest monument (dating from the 18th century), the Dubai Museum<\/strong> tells the story of the city and its traditions. Through very realistic scenes of life and short films, we learn how the Dubaiites lived, what their professions were … We also learn about the evolution of the Emirate in just a few decades. With a ridiculous entry price, it would be a shame to do without it, especially since it is very playful and will certainly appeal to children.<\/span><\/p>\n

Team tip:<\/strong> The museum is not very easy to reach by public transport. Prefer the taxi.<\/span><\/p>\n

Going to Dubai without visiting its Shouks<\/strong> would be a mistake !!!<\/span><\/p>\n

To immerse yourself in the local culture, immerse yourself in the teeming atmosphere of the souks. They are located in the Old Dubai district<\/strong>. Most impressive is the Gold Souk<\/strong>, now the world’s largest gold market. Here Dubaiers and visitors alike jostle in the many jewelry shops in search of a bargain. Necklaces, rings, bracelets\u2026 the choice is yours. In the evening, you even have to queue because there are so many people. It\u2019s the busiest and most interesting time of the day. The spice souk<\/strong>, on the other hand, will delicately tickle your nostrils, just like the perfume souk.<\/span><\/p>\n

Our team’s advice:<\/strong> Like any self-respecting souk, the practice is to haggle. And do not hesitate to get good deals, especially on jewelry. In this specific case, find out about the price of gold beforehand.<\/span><\/p>\n

Old Dubai:<\/strong> the oldest district of the city, where the main historical and cultural sites are located. It consists of two districts, Deira and Bur Dubai<\/strong>, which are separated by an arm of the sea: the Dubai Creek.<\/span><\/p>\n

On the north shore, the Deira district is home to the souks (for gold, spices, etc.), many old buildings such as the wind towers that were once the ventilation system for houses. Dubai’s busiest fish market is also located in Deira.<\/span><\/p>\n

On the south side of Dubai Creek, Bur Dubai is characterized by its old houses and restored historic buildings. This is where you can visit the Dubai History Museum<\/strong> in Al Fahidi Fort. The Al Fahidi district<\/strong> is also one of the oldest places in Dubai, with multiple wind towers and you will certainly get lost in the labyrinth of alleys. To connect the two shores, all you have to do is board an abra, this traditional wooden boat.<\/span><\/p>\n
