DETAILED ITINERARY
Day 1: Welcome to Hanoi, a thousand-year-old city
Reception at the airport by our Xplorer (French speaking Vietnamese guide), your driver and transfer to the city center. Formerly named Thang Long, "city of the rising dragon" when it was created more than 1000 years ago, Hanoi is now a city of irresistible charm, between tradition and modernity. Located in the center of the Red River Delta, Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, is the heart of the country and one of the most fascinating cities in the world. Installation at the hotel. Day 2: Visit Hanoi, culture and tradition
In-depth discovery of the capital of Vietnam. You will start with a visit to the captivating Ethnographic Museum, which brings together traditional costumes, tools and musical instruments, as well as houses with typical architecture of the country's 54 ethnic groups. The day continues with a visit to the Temple of Literature, "Vietnam's first university", and the oldest pagoda in Hanoi: Tran Quoc and its Ngoc Son temple located on the shores of central lake Hoan Kiem. A walk through the alleys of the old quarter of Hanoi will allow you to soak up the local life. At the end of the afternoon, stop at Huong Sen, a very famous medicinal massage center in Vietnam where you will meet professional herbalists to discover traditional medicine. Hotel Le Carnot - 3*. Day 3: Hanoi - Ha Long, cruise and overnight in the heart of the 8th wonder of the world
Around 8 am, take the road towards Ha Long Bay (bay of the descent of the dragon), through countryside landscapes where rice cultivation predominates. Arrival in Ha Long and immediate boarding on a junk for a superb exploration of the legendary bay, classified as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Covering an area of over 1553 km2 and comprising 2000 islands and islets, most of which are uninhabited and have not been disturbed by human activity, it forms a spectacular marine panorama of limestone rock pillars and represents a perfect model of the landscape. karstic in a tropical, hot and humid climate. Day 5: Hanoi Da Nang - My Son - Hoi An, meeting with the ancient Cham kingdoms
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Da Nang. Upon arrival, transfer to My Son - the sacred valley of the Champa Kingdom, where there are many vestiges of Cham culture. The tower-sanctuaries were built over ten centuries of continuous development in what constituted the ancestral homeland of the reigning Cham coconut clan who united the Cham clans and established the kingdom of Champapura (city of the Cham people in Sanskrit) in 192. From the 4th to the 8th century, this unique culture on the coast of present-day Viet Nam, was spiritually dependent on the Hinduism of the Indian subcontinent. Under this influence, many temples were built, dedicated to Hindu deities such as Brahma and Vishnu, and above all, Shiva. Short transfer to Hoi An for overnight stay. Day 6: Hoi An visit, the history of the ancient kingdoms
The morning is devoted to discovering the city: start with a visit to the Antiquities Museum, admire the famous Japanese bridge, symbol of the city of Hoi An, the Chinese quarter with its old wooden Congregational houses and their pagodas, but also the house of Phung Hung, building dating from the XIXth century classified as historical monuments of the country. Stop off at the market and at the port, two very lively places shaped by various cultures, which made the reputation of this former fishing village in the 15th century where merchant ships from Europe and Asia docked: China, the Netherlands , Japan, Portugal ... In the afternoon, go for a bike excursion to better immerse yourself in the daily rural life of the villagers around Hoi An. The small paved paths will lead you to Tan Thinh beach . Day 7: Hoi An - Da Nang Sai Gon, from the Cham kingdom to the "promised land" of the Vietnamese
The morning is free to discover Hoi An at your own pace: bike ride in the countryside; to go to the beach ; local sampan ride on the Thu Bon river or shopping in silk shops. Early in the afternoon, transfer to the airport to board the flight to Sai Gon. Welcome by your guide and driver, then transfer to downtown Hồ Chí Minh-Ville - known as Saigon by the population

Day 8: Sai Gon city tour - Can Tho, promised land and rural life
Day of discovery of Ho Chi Minh - city, Saigon said by the local population. Founded in 1698 on the basis of the fishing villages on the banks of the Saï Gon river, this city developed quickly after the arrival of the French in the mid-19th century. Nowadays, it is the Promised Land which attracts not only young Vietnamese but also foreign investors. This 300-year-old town will seduce you with its many ancient monuments, its various goods and markets, its small street restaurants or simply its hairdressers on the sidewalk. Visit: Cho Lon District, Thien Hau Temple, Central Post Office and Sai Gon Cathedral. At the beginning of the afternoon, drive to Can Tho, capital of the Mekong Delta. Hotel GK Central 3*. Day 9: Can Tho visit Phu Quoc
You will take the boat early to discover the Cai Rang floating market, the largest and most lively in the Mekong Delta. The setting is magnificent: hundreds of motor sampans, filled with rice, fruits and handicrafts, come together to exchange and sell their wares. Then, visit of the old house of Binh Thuy where the film adaptation of the novel "The Lover" by Marguerite Duras was filmed in 1992.
