Day 4 : Private Jewish Quarter and Medieval Walking Tour

This exclusive half-day tour will introduce you to the fascinating Jewish heritage of Rhodes Old Town, before taking you back in time all the way to the island’s medieval origins. You will start your discovery with a stroll through La Juderia, the Jewish Quarter. Along the way, you’ll visit notable Jewish landmarks including Alhadeff Park and Alhadeff Street, named after a prominent Jewish family, the Square of the Martyred Jews and its seahorse fountain, and the Holocaust Memorial. You’ll also visit the Kahal Kadosh Synagogue, the oldest synagogue in Greece, and the Jewish Museum of Rhodes

Your tour will continue with a fascinating insight into the medieval life on the island as your guide describes the battles and sieges fought by the Knights of St. John and how they shaped the town you see today. You’ll explore medieval monuments and walk along the famous Street of the Knights, the best-preserved medieval street in Europe. Your tour will conclude at the 14th century Palace of the Grand Master, once home to the leader of the Knights of St. John of Rhodes. Today it’s a museum housing medieval furniture, elaborate mosaics, and archaeological exhibits from Rhodes.

Day 6 : Semi-Private Off-road Safari Adventure

Experience the perfect mixture of beautiful nature, panoramic views, exciting off-road driving, picturesque Greek villages and loads of off-the-beaten-track fun. This Safari is a self-driving tour using manual transmission 4WD vehicles during which you will drive through the mountains, pass small villages, go through a riverbed, and discover the island from a very non-touristy perspective. The first route will be one and a half hours of driving with beautiful vistas of Rhodes Town. Your first scheduled stop is at the Seven Springs where you will relax, have a coffee, try some local products, walk the tunnel and then continue on but this time you will partly drive off-road until you reach your next stop at Fountoukli, where you will fill your bottles with crystal clear spring water and visit the chapel. After some more off-road driving through the mountains, you will start heading towards the Aegean. You will stop for lunch before going back to your original starting point.
