A true feat of engineering, it perfectly reflects the values of Dubai: to evolve and make every dream come true. You will thus discover a wide range of residences, five-star hotels, trendy restaurants and elegant beach clubs.
Whatever your schedule for the day, Palm Jumeirah will not disappoint. Sunbathe with the family at the Riva Beach Club or WET Deck at the W Dubai hotel, which offers a relaxed musical atmosphere, pleasant swimming pools and top-of-the-range facilities. You will also find many private beaches located along The Palm; they are accessible thanks to a daily pass and offer activities for young and old.
Charter a luxury yacht and plan a sea trip along the incredible coastline of this man-made island. You can also opt for a speedboat or wakeboard ride. The waters between the “leaves” and along the trunk are calmer, making them perfect spots for a bit of kayaking or paddle boarding.
The five-star Atlantis hotel, The Palm, located on the Outer Crescent, is a must-see. This luxurious property hosts award-winning restaurants from top chefs like Nobu, Giorgio Locatelli and Gordon Ramsay, as well as a water park, a giant aquarium and much more.
Take a stroll along the Palm Jumeirah boardwalk, which comes alive after dark with visitors and other residents flocking to take the perfect selfie. Sit by the rocks or grab a bite to eat from one of the food trucks on the island before enjoying the beautiful sunset. Bikes are available for hire so you can cycle along the seaside while taking in the panoramic views of the Arabian Gulf.
Want to find out more? Palm Jumeirah is home to the Nakheel Mall and The Pointe, both home to numerous designer boutiques and several family attractions. If you prefer to relax, plan a short stroll on The Pointe’s 1.5 km promenade, which has arguably the best view of the Atlantis Hotel in the distance.
How to get there: If you choose the Dubai Metro, get off at Jumeirah Lakes Towers station or Dubai Marina station, then take the Dubai Tram and get off at the Palm Jumeirah stop. Gateway station is nearby and offers you a perfect starting point to take the Palm Jumeirah monorail which runs along the main trunk of the island. Alternatively, board a water taxi to the Waldorf Astoria Palm Jumeirah hotel.
